Lambeth Summer World Cup 2016

All set for Sunday September 4th, we looking to sponsor U12’s, U14’s and U16 boys and girls teams for the Lambeth Summer World Cup. Last year it was held at Fulham FC’s training ground in Mottingham where we sponsored 3 teams from Streatham Hill, Fern Lodge, Portobello and Holderness Estates. Let us know if you would be for interested in submitting teams for your estate. Training before the event and transport for the event will be provided. See flyer for details. For more information contact us at or ring 0207 926 3401.

TRA of the month – Fern Lodge

There’s been a changing of the guard at Fern Lodge Estate near Crown Point with new residents taking up the roles stalwarts had kept going for many years. Jean Valloton was chair for 12 years but decided, at 92 years young, she should be spending more time visiting the cinema with her daughter (although she is still vice chair!). Annette Daley has succeeded Jean and one of the first things she arranged was for the community hall to be re-painted pending a programme of summer activity for the children. Thanks Jean for all your hard work & good film watching!

New Level 2 Involvement in Housing and Communities course

The next Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) course will start 27th September at High Trees, Tulse Hill.

70 residents have successfully completed the course since 2014.

It is a nationally accredited award which could help you into employment as well as understand how housing works better.

It is free to Lambeth Council residents. If you are interested in enrolling please contact us at or ring 020 7926 3401.

New performance data

As from this month new monthly housing services performance data will be available on our web site.

Following consultation with residents through the Lambeth 500, the new user friendly data information has reduced the sheer number produced whilst highlighting the most important to residents.

Quarter 1 is available Here

Engagement staff changes

As part of the Council’s need to make significant savings by 2018, many staff have left the Council’s service. These include 3 Resident Participation Officers (RPOs) – Joanne Hall, Frank Tamplin and Liam Kelly.

We wish them all the best with their retirement/new ventures but there will now only be one RPO per area

Joanne Jackson for North

Doreen Mason for Central

John O’Reilly for South
