The Mayor of London has published his draft Good Practice Guide to Estate Regeneration for consultation, and to thank you for your help and advice in drawing it up.
The draft guide sets out the principles that the Mayor would like to see followed in estate regeneration in London, and which are already being applied by boroughs and housing associations in many projects across the city.
These principles include:
- Early and transparent objective setting by boroughs and housing associations;
- Extensive and thorough consultation with residents and others; and
- A fair deal for tenants and leaseholders.
