Safer Neighbourhoods Community Contact Sessions

Allan and Julie-Anne will be holding regular Community Contact Sessions in the coming months for the Ferndale Ward. This is in response to concerns raised regarding the closure of some Front Offices across the Met and the possibility of Officers being less accessible to you. Members of the public raised concerns about the potential loss of police presence within the community and also a lack of face to face contact with Police. The Met’s intention is that all Dedicated Ward Officers will hold a weekly Surgery for about an hour in order for their residents to drop in to report crime and to receive crime prevention advice. We will also be able to signpost people to our partner agencies if necessary. The following sessions have been set up for the month of January and we will be advertising these through social media, the Met website and within the local community. We would appreciate your help by retweeting the information about the sessions and where possible disseminating the information through to your relevant resident groups, neighbourhood watch panels etc.
Mon 8th Jan 10am-11am
Tues 16th Jan 12noon-1pm
Tues 23rd Jan 12 noon-1pm
Mon 29th Jan 10am-11am
All of these sessions will be held in the SW9 Housing Office, 6 Stockwell Park Walk, SW9 0FG and are open to everyone who lives or works on the Ward.
I hope to provide a more varied service from February by moving these sessions around the Ward and will contact you with further dates once we have arranged these with various Estate Managers and other venues.
As always, any suggestions from yourselves will be warmly welcomed
Kindest Regards – and a very happy new year to all
